The Voet of Afrika, otherwise known as "The toughest marathon, with the warmest heart" was run this past weekend and was a great success. Located in the centre of the Overberg and only 40km from Cape Agulhas, you don’t find a more southerly marathon in Africa.

Back in Knysna again, this time for the culmination of the infamous Oyster Festival and this time we have backup... 10 of us met up to take part in the half- and full-marathons... and to finish off with the chaos known as Crab's Creek.
Worth it? Absolutely!

Easter Weekend has come and gone and for those in Cape Town, it also means that the madness known as the Two Oceans Marathon is over. This year I eschewed the usual 21km Half Marathon and in true BadBoyz style, decided to go for broke: the 56km Ultra.

There's no such thing as an easy marathon and the new Red Hill route proved this beyond doubt. However fantastic views, excellent race organisation and a great vibe made this a race to remember.
No pics unfortunately - no ways in hell I'm going to run 42km with a camera in hand! There are some awesome views though, so I'll return sometime and take some pictures.

With a modified route and new race formats, the Gun Run's very different from previous years. I'm still undecided if it's for the better or not... No pictures here I'm afraid - still have yet to figure out how to run a road race and take a camera along at the same time!
